POLICE are investigating after thieves stole six tortoises, valued at nearly £2,500, from a greenhouse in Gravesend.
The burglars entered the garden of a house in Leander Drive and then forced their way into the greenhouse by breaking a padlock.
The tortoises have been valued at £400 each. The theft happened between 11pm and 7.40am on the night of Monday, October 11.
