Kent weather: Sleet and snow hits county

Kent has experienced its first snowfall of 2020, with wintry showers reported in the northern and central parts of the county.

Snow and sleet was seen falling in Gravesend this morning, with showers also reported in Swanley, Bluewater, Medway, and Maidstone.

It's probably too early to get the sledge out, as the snow has not yet settled amid wet conditions and snow is not forecast for the coming days.

Meanwhile there is now a yellow wind warning in place from midday on Saturday to midday on Sunday for the stretch of coast from Lydd to Dover.
