A team of legal practitioners are attempting to walk as far as possible during October to raise money for three charities.

Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, which has offices across Kent, is aiming to raise £2,500 for north Kent hospice charity ellenor, mental health charity Mind, and the Hygiene Bank, which supplies toiletries, hygiene basics, beauty and personal care and household cleaning essentials to those in need.

The company has 15 employees participating in the fundraiser from Gravesend, Longfield, Sittingbourne and Ashford.

Marketing manager Ilaria Giurini said: "This year our charity challenge is virtual, so it's everywhere– We all walk safely in our neighbourhood and raise money in a new and fun way.

"Our team has one month time to walk as much as they possibly can, whenever and wherever they like.

"The chosen charities are held very closely to so many people's hearts, and we hope that the team can smash their targets."

At the time of writing the team had walked 490 miles and raised £875.
