Arrest warrant issued after man accused of drink-driving e scooter in Gravesend fails to appear before court

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man accused of driving an electric scooter while over the legal alcohol limit.

Tom Jarvis, of St Albans Close, Gravesend, was due to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday to face charges of drink driving without a licence or insurance.

The 34-year-old is alleged to have used the electrical vehicle in London Road, Northfleet on April 29 while over the legal limit for alcohol.

He also faces two separate charges of operating the electrical scooter without third party insurance and a licence.

But Jarvis failed to appear before the court yesterday.

Magistrates approved an application for a warrant for his arrest without bail.
