Delivery driver attacked by masked gang with baseball bat

A takeaway delivery driver is in hospital after being attacked with a baseball bat by a motorbike-mounted gang.

The victim, had delivered some food to an address in Dering Way, Gravesend on Thursday before three men, one wearing a Spider-Man mask, threatened him by demanding his scooter and phone.

He attempted to leave the area but the gang chased him on motorbikes.

They caught up with him in Rochester Road where one of them is reported to have used a baseball bat to hit him on the head and arm before they pushed him off the scooter. They then left the area empty-handed.

Following the incident, which took place between 7pm and 7.30pm, South East Coast Ambulance Service was called and the victim was taken to a local hospital with head injuries where he remains.

The three suspects have been described as white, with one offender described as being of slim build, with short black hair and wearing a white Spider-Man face mask. He was also in possession of a baseball bat.

The second suspect is reported to also of been of slim build, with blonde hair and wearing a black face mask and black tracksuit.

The third offender is described as aged 15 or 16, with blonde hair, medium build and wearing a grey tracksuit.
