Teenager stabbed at McDonald's in Gravesend

A teenager has been released without charge after another boy was stabbed at a McDonald's.

Police were called to the fast food restaurant in Gravesend town centre at around 11pm on Friday.

A 19-year-old received treatment for stab wounds at the branch in New Road.

He was also reported to have had an unknown substance thrown at him.

He was taken to a London hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

An 18-year-old man from Dartford was arrested a short time after in Saddington Street on suspicion of casing grievous bodily harm.

He has now been released without charge.

What is believed to be a police helicopter was also seen over the town.

Officers are carrying out an investigation and are looking to identify the substance thrown at the victim,
