Arrest after teenagers attacked with noxious substance in New Ash Green

A man has been arrested following reports two teenagers were attacked with a noxious substance, believed to be ammonia or bleach.

Police say the victims had been walking in parkland near Centre Road, New Ash Green, when the assault took place.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm on Saturday.

Officers and ambulance crews attended, and the victims were taken to hospital before being discharged.

A suspect, aged 19, and believed to be known to the victims, was arrested on suspicion of assault on Monday.

He was later bailed, pending further enquiries, to return to a police station on June 3.
