Two men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences following an incident in Northfleet.

Police confirmed they received reports the suspects were seen in possession of a firearm in a car park in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet.

It happened at around 5.20pm.

A police spokesman said: "Armed officers attended the location and two men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

"Police are still at the scene and enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
