Two injured in three-car crash in Gravesend Road

Police and vehicle recovery workers had to push a smashed vehicle across a road after a three-car crash.

The front end of a red Ford Fiesta was crumpled in the accident this morning in Gravesend Road, Shorne, near Forge Lane and The Copperfield Arms.

Two people were injured and one had to be taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with suspected leg injuries.

Three police officers, an AA worker and people involved in the accident pushed the obstructing vehicle from the Medway-bound carriageway over to the Gravesend side and up into a bush at the side of the road.

Motorists were stopped in both directions while the car was shunted across the road, and held up further as the traffic was filtered around the other two cars and emergency services.
