Woman injured in A2 crash between Cobham and M2 junction 1

A woman was taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A2 this afternoon.

Ambulance crews and police were called to the coastbound carriageway between the Cobham Interchange and junction 1 for the M2, just after 12.20pm.

Police said the collision involved a car and a lorry and a woman was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for medical attention.

The woman's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Traffic has now been released past the scene but one of the four lanes remains closed.

Highways England have asked drivers to "take care while driving in the area".
