Ebbsfleet United boss Dennis Kutrieb adds a second German player to their new-look squad as attacking player Alex Eirich joins the National League South club

Dennis Kutrieb has added a second German player to Ebbsfleet United's new-look squad ahead of their 2020/21 season.

Attacking player Alex Eirich, 26, joins fellow countryman Sefa Kahraman in signing for Ebbsfleet from Kutrieb’s former club Tennis Borussia Berlin.

Eirich is a product of the Berlin football scene, having come through the youth ranks at Berliner SC before playing for BW 90 Berlin, Brandenburger SC Sud and FSV Luckenwalde.

Last summer, he was signed by Kutrieb’s former club Tennis Borussia Berlin and impressed during his first few appearances before an injury ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Fleet describe Eirich as "an adaptable attacker whose two-footed approach allows him to operate on either flank".

On his latest signing, Ebbsfleet's 12th in total, Kutrieb told the club website: "Alex is a very fast and intelligent player who is able to work in every position along the front line.

"He performed very, very well in pre-season for me last summer and I was very disappointed that an injury ruled him out for TeBe.

"But he is a really exciting individual and, now he is returning to fitness, he’s prepared to show us what he can do by coming to England and Ebbsfleet.

"He has played most of his career in the fourth or fifth-tier in Germany, and his skills and strengths are very well suited to the English game."
