Gravesham Amateur Boxing Club’s Joel Vieira and Taye Sterling-Williams triumph at Capital Boxing Cup

Gravesham Amateur Boxing Club enjoyed double delight at the Capital Boxing Cup.

Joel Vieira (60kg) and Taye Sterling-Williams (63.5kg) triumphed in their final bouts, earning the titles of Capital Cup champions in their weight categories, after they had fought three times.

Stable-mate George Ross also reached the semi-final stages from a competitive field.

Coach Len Trusty said: “We - the coaches - couldn’t be prouder of all three boxers and look forward to seeing their continued success.”

Overall, more than 300 amateur fighters from across the UK competed at last month’s three-day event at Broadwater Farm Community Centre in Tottenham.

The club are based on Old Perry Street in Northfleet.
