An 86th minute own-goal by Joey Jones earned Ebbsfleet a replay in their FA Trophy first round tie against Vanarama National League Woking at Stonebridge Road.
Andy Drury's free-kick halfway inside the Woking half found the head of skipper Dave Winfield who headed against the post, only for the ball to bounce in off midfielder Jones, who was left with a bloody nose for his troubles.
Fleet could have won it late on, substitute Danny Kedwell's pass going across the face of the visitors goal, with nobody able to get the final touch.
Woking went in front two minutes after the break - a one-two carried the ball towards the Fleet box, the ball was only cleared to Luke Kandi who curled an impressive 20-yard left footed strike wide of Nathan Ambrose.
Drury made his home debut after his move from Eastleigh while Winfield returned from suspension to lead the side.
Woking included former Fleet goalkeeper Brandon Hall and ex-loan-signing Guzi Owuga who spent a spell at the club when Liam Daish was in charge.
Fleet made a double-substitute 11 minutes after the break - sending on Kedwell and Stuart Lewis for Charlie Sheringham and Jack Powell.
Lewis went close for Fleet soon while Kedwell headed over the bar as Fleet's began to ask questions before Darren McQueen was sent on in place of Dean Rance.
Drury's passing caught the eye early on, before Bradley Bubb, also playing against one of his former clubs produced the Fleet''s best chance eight minutes before half-time, forcing Hall to push it corner.
Powell then put his kick across the face of the visitors goal - Charlie Sheringham headed it back, but Woking cleared.
Sheringham earlier failed to control Powell's cross on the edge of the box - following a Shaun Shields throw.
Ref David Rock then endured the wrath of the Fleet fans just before half-time by penalising Bubb for a challenge on Hall.
It seemed fair with both players going for the ball. but the decision left the Fleet man understandably bemused and frustrated.
Owogu was booked for a tackle from behind on Dean Rance in the second half, before the Fleet man and Jake Caprice, a real threat for Woking in the first half, joined him in the book - both for fouls.
