Winger Adam Mekki signs for Ebbsfleet United on a permanent basis after successful loan spell at Stonebridge Road last season

Winger Adam Mekki has become Ebbsfleet United's ninth summer signing.

Mekki, 28, re-joins the Stonebridge Road outfit having already shown Fleet fans just what he can do during a loan spell from Bromley last season.

That stint saw Mekki catch the eye and he was recalled by parent club Bromley in March.

But Mekki told the Fleet website the offer to come back to Ebbsfleet was too good to turn down.

"The prospect of a move back was definitely there from very early on and I knew it was a really good option for me," he said.

"A lot of the other lads I either know or know of, and they’re really impressive signings so far.

"Now, I can’t wait to get going and see what we’ve got as a squad."

After being relegated from the National League last season, Fleet's new German boss Dennis Kutrieb has wasted little time in putting together the core of his squad for the new season as they target promotion back to the top-tier of non-league football in England.

They have kept hold of Australian keeper Jordan Holmes, as well as signing fellow shot-stopper Tom Hadler, and adding outfield players Alfie Egan, Ben Chapman, Michael West, Josh Payne, Tobi Adebayo-Rowling and former Werder Bremen player Sefa Kahraman to their ranks.
