Ebbsfleet United sign Aswad Thomas from Sutton United

Ebbsfleet boss Garry Hill has signed left-back Aswad Thomas from National League rivals Sutton.

Thomas, 29, was a free agent after two years at Gander Green Lane.

He becomes the Fleet's second signing of the close season after they landed former Maidenhead defender Ayo Obileye earlier this week.

Thomas is well known to fans in the county having also spent time with Dover.

He started his career at Charlton before spells at Woking and Braintree where his form saw him move to Grimsby for a five-figure fee.

Thomas, who made 29 appearances last season, was one of four players not offered terms by new Sutton boss Matt Gray last month.
