The 32-year-old is a former England youth international but is best known for being a part of Gillingham's League 2 title-winning squad under Martin Allen in 2012/13.

He joined the Gills in 2010 from Blackpool and quickly established himself as a consistent performer, making over 150 league appearances for the club.

Martin left Gillingham for Millwall and continued to progress, winning promotion to the Championship in 2016/17.

He has since played for Northampton - another team he enjoyed promotion with - and Stevenage, making over 320 Football League appearances.

After moving to National League South Ebbsfleet, Martin said: "Ebbsfleet appealed to me, it feels like a club on the up.

"I want to help this year, that’s the only aim and it was important to come to a club that’s only going to rise, to get back up to where it should be and who knows after that, even further.”
