Ebbsfleet United sign former Maidstone and Aldershot defender Alex Finney

Ebbsfleet have made their ninth signing of the summer after agreeing a deal with centre-back Alex Finney.

The 25-year-old defender is well known in Kent football circles having previously featured for Maidstone.

He joins the Fleet from National League Aldershot, who he joined in December 2018 after falling out of favour with former Stones boss Harry Wheeler.

Finney had enjoyed a successful time at Maidstone, where he was named player-of-the-year in the 2017/18 season.

Finney started his career at Leyton Orient before moving to Bolton, who he played for in the Championship in 2016.

He then moved to QPR, from where he joined the Stones initially on loan in August 2017 - a move that was made permanent at the end of that campaign.
