Former Ebbsfleet and Dartford midfielder Luke Coulson scores from his own penalty box against on-loan West Ham goalkeeper

Former Kent footballer Luke Coulson scored an outrageous goal from his own penalty box on Saturday - against one of his old managers.

Coulson became an internet sensation after his remarkable effort for Weston-super-Mare in a 4-2 victory at Hornchurch.

The Urchins are managed by Daryl McMahon, who signed Coulson for Ebbsfleet from Barnet in 2017, but it’s fair to say he’s never seen him score a goal quite like that before.

It came about after Hornchurch’s on-loan West Ham goalkeeper Mason Terry came up for a corner deep into added time with his side trailing 3-2.

The ball fell to Coulson whose huge clearance went all the way down the other end and trickled into the empty net to complete the first hat-trick of his career.

Coulson, 31, joined Weston from Dartford last summer, and they are eighth in National League South.

With Maidstone United next up for the Seagulls this Saturday, Stones keeper Alexis Andre Jr might be well-advised to think twice before going up for any late corners.
