Ebbsfleet United sign Kieran Monlouis and hand former Gillingham striker Greg Cundle a reprieve

St Lucia international Kieran Monlouis has secured a contract at Ebbsfleet United.

The midfielder, 26, appeared in a number of friendlies for Fleet in March and April, impressing boss Dennis Kutrieb.

His last club was Horsham while he’s also played for Maldon & Tiptree, St Albans, Sudbury, Hemel Hempstead, Dulwich Hamlet and Margate in non-league.

His reputation as a powerful, box-to-box player also caught the eye in Scotland, where he played alongside Fleet striker Rakish Bingham at Hamilton in the 2018/19 season.

Monlouis, who played youth football for Crystal Palace, Stoke and Charlton, made his international debut for St Lucia in a 1-0 win over the Dominican Republic in 2019, one of two caps.

Meanwhile, striker Greg Cundle has signed a new deal following a U-turn by Kutrieb.

Fleet announced they were releasing the former Gillingham youngster in March but he’s won his manager round with his performances in friendlies.

The 24-year-old scored against Sittingbourne and has set up plenty of goals for his fellow forwards.

Fleet said Cundle’s “hard work and attitude has allowed the player to seize his chance and convinced Dennis Kutrieb to reward him with a return next season”.
