Ebbsfleet United sign Kreshnic Krasniqi from Maidstone United

Kreshnic Krasniqi has joined Ebbsfleet after a season with Kent rivals Maidstone.

The Kosovan midfielder, 26, impressed in a goalless draw between the sides last November and is looking forward to life at his new club.

“I’m raring to go, especially with the fans back and with football getting back to normal,” he told Fleet’s website.

Krasniqi fled war-torn Kosovo as a child, moving to England with his mum. He shared his story in an interview with KentOnline last season.

The 6ft midfielder counts Billericay, Heybridge, Concord and Wealdstone among his former clubs, and he also had a spell in Cyprus.

Krasniqi, who was furloughed by Maidstone, played for Fleet in their end-of-season friendlies, also operating in central defence for Dennis Kutrieb’s side.
