Josh Passley joins National League side Ebbsfleet United on loan from League 2 Bromley

Ebbsfleet United’s second signing of the day helped Bromley to promotion last season from the National League.

Right-back Josh Passley, 30, has joined Fleet on loan for the rest of the season.

HIs arrival comes on the same day the club announced the signing of defensive midfielder Aaron Bolger, who has joined from St Patrick's Athletic.

Passley played 35 games for Bromley on the way to their promotion from the National League last season, including in the promotion play-off at Wembley, but his return to the Football League was rocked by injury.

He’s been limited to just six appearances for Bromley following their promotion to League 2, starting one league game against Harrogate Town where he picked up an injury that left him sidelined for three months.

He returned to action in November and made an appearance off the bench at St James’ Park in Bromley’s FA Cup match against Newcastle United.

Passley, who started out in the Fulham youth ranks, gained Football League experience at Shrewsbury Town and Portsmouth.

He’s also previously played for Dagenham, Whitehawk, Havant & Waterlooville and Dover Athletic.

Passley joins an Ebbsfleet team sitting bottom of the National League table, 14 points from safety with 16 games remaining.
