Club staff have now moved into new offices within the new stand, which also houses a club shop facing out onto Stonebridge Road.

Commercial director Dave Archer says the stand will benefit Fleet on and off the pitch.

He said: “We want to be open to all our fans. It’s not just about the prawn sandwich brigade.

“If Fleet fans who come every week want an extra special day, we’re able to offer that to them – engagements, anniversaries, family get-togethers, they can book a place in this lounge on a matchday for each and every game.

“We’re the cheapest in Kent in the National League for entrance – £14 for an adult, £11 for concessions and £6 for our youth.

“On top of that, to purchase the meal and experience these lovely facilities, we’re looking at a fee in the region of £30 which we don’t think is excessive by modern day football hospitality standards.”

Daryl McMahon’s side used the new facilities for the third time on Saturday when Guiseley visited in the National League.

And they made it three wins in a row following victories against Leyton Orient and Hartlepool.

“We’re competitive,” Mr Archer said. “We’re in a halfway position at the moment and believe we have the squad that can kick on and perhaps try to get a play-off position.

“It’s a competitive league and anybody can beat anybody. There’s no one running away with the league so we’ve got every chance to push on.”
