Two Kent darts players - who go by the names ‘Sonic’ and ‘Wonderhorse’ - have raised thousands for charity by playing the game continuously for 24 hours.
Paul Jordan and Graham Goodsell, who both work for estate agents Wards, could be forgiven for being left a little bleary eyed after playing in their office for an entire day and night.
But the pair’s efforts have earned their chosen charity Tree of Hope, which supports families with sick and disabled children, £2,000.
Paul, who lives in Herne Bay and is branch manager for Wards’ estate agents in the town and Graham Goodsell, who lives in Gillingham and is branch manager for Faversham, took on the challenge at Wards in Herne Bay High Street at the end of last month.
They were joined by friends, family and supporters who called into the branch throughout the event to take part in a game, replenish the team with snacks or help keep the two players awake!
Wards Estate Agents has been a charity partner of Tree of Hope since 2024, with a fun day at 20 branches this March raising £10,000 alone.
Paul said: “We are proud to be supporting Tree of Hope again this year and we wanted to think of something a little different as a fundraising event.”
