Collins Road, Herne Bay: Car park taped off after armed police called to cul-de-sac

A car park has been taped off after a police helicopter, armed officers and fire engines were sent to a cul-de-sac.

Residents say they witnessed a dispute between three men in Collins Road, Greenhill, on the outskirts of Herne Bay, at about 9.20am this morning.

Armed police soon arrived in the street near Briary Primary School, according to eyewitnesses.

Neighbours also saw a police helicopter, two fire engines and an ambulance arrive.

One resident told KentOnline: "I've lived here since 2002 and never seen anything like it."

The firefighters were seen spraying the road.

Officers remain at the scene now.

Police, the fire service and ambulance service have been contacted for more information.
