A pensioner missing since yesterday has been found.

Concerns had been raised after the 79-year-old from Whitstable had last been seen at around 2pm yesterday (October 31) near a Premier Inn and Sainsbury’s petrol garage off Thanet Way in Herne Bay.

But this morning, Kent Police confirmed he had been found.

A spokesman said: “A 79-year-old man, reported missing from Whitstable on Friday, October 31, has been safely located.

“Thank you for assisting by sharing the appeal.”
