Firefighters tackled a fire in two garages in Herne Bay last night.

Three fire engines were called to Mortimer Street, at about 8.20pm

It is not known at this stage how the fire started, but no one was injured.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames, which had spread to two single garages.

The road was closed while crews dealt with the incident and firefighters left the scene at about 10pm.
