Jewellery stolen from Herne Bay pensioner's home in Fleetwood Avenue

Several items of jewellery, including a Queen's Jubilee necklace, were stolen from a pensioner's home during an afternoon raid.

Between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday, January 12, the woman, who is in her 80s, woke up to find her home in Fleetwood Avenue, Herne Bay, had been burgled.

A diamond ring, silver brooch commemorating long service in the Girl Guides and a gold necklace with a rectangular pendant that had the words "Queen's Jubilee" engraved on it were among the items stolen.

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses.
