Kent Police launch probe after man shoved to ground and injured in Herne

A search has been launched after a man suffered injuries to his face and leg when he was pushed to the ground.

Police have launched an investigation following the attack in Hawe Farm Way, Herne, towards the end of last month.

Detectives say the victim, who is in his 50s, was shoved over by his assailant opposite the junction with Strangeford Place.

And as they step up their probe into the incident, officers have released an image of person they would like to speak about the incident.

A police spokesman said: "We have issued a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to as he may be able to assist our enquiries.

"Anyone who recognises his, or has information about the assault is asked to call us."
