A police team was sent to Herne Bay station this afternoon.

Officers, a van and two patrol cars were waiting at the Thanet-bound platform.

It is believed they were waiting for someone, as a train heading towards Thanet was briefly held before being allowed to move off.

Elsewhere, police were called to Canterbury East Station where a fight erupted and a police officer was bitten as a woman was arrested.

The force has been approached for comment
