Two people rescued by Whitstable and Sheerness lifeboat crews off Herne Bay

Two people were rescued after their boat broke down off Herne Bay.

Lifeboat crews were called to the incident just off Hampton Pier when the propeller on the 30ft motor cruiser failed.

The Whitstable RNLI towed the boat, which had a 70-year-old man and 61-year-old woman onboard, to the Sheerness lifeboat crew who had also been called to the scene on Friday evening.
