Herne Bay railway station closed as air ambulance takes woman to hospital

A woman was airlifted to hospital after being treated at Herne Bay railway station.

Paramedics were called to the scene just after 3pm after receiving a report she was in need of medical attention.

She is believed to have suffered a head injury while collapsing.

The air ambulance was seen landing in Memorial Park at about 4.30pm, before flying her to King's College Hospital in London.

Southeastern confirmed Herne Bay railway station was closed just before 4pm as emergency services attended the incident.

It was reopened 30 minutes later.
