The Kent Junior Cup took centre stage in the Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday League this week with Chartham going trough 4-1 against Trosley.

It is always a tough ask travelling to play a team you know nothing about but Chartham approached this game with the right attitude and respect. They didn’t give their opponents any space and pressed on from start to finish with Danny Wrench, Gary Dodds, James Klosek and Neil Hopkins the men on target. Their reward is a tie against Division 1 rivals Waterfront who swept aisde East Kent Gills 6-0.

These two teams met recently in the league in what was a tight affair, but this week’s match was all together different.

Although Gills had the best of the early chances they were unable to convert them and Watrefront made them pay.
