Herne Bay's Isthmian Premier match against Horsham abandoned after injury sustained by Kymani Thomas; Isthmian South East victories for Ramsgate and Ashford United

Herne Bay saw their Isthmian Premier match on Saturday against Horsham abandoned following an injury sustained by one of their players.

The visitors raced into a 2-0 lead at Winch’s Field in the first six minutes, with young keeper Emile Haratbar between the sticks in place of the suspended Jordan Perrin.

But with the contest still in the early stages, play was initially delayed - and eventually called off altogether - after Bay striker Kymani Thomas sustained an injury.

But on Twitter later in the day, youngster Thomas wrote: “Thank you for all the messages.

“Alhamdulillah I’m back soon.”

Basement boys Herne Bay have since confirmed there will be no entry fee when a new date is set for their rearranged clash against the Hornets.

Folkestone lost 2-1 at home to promotion-chasing Hornchurch.

It was 1-1 at half-time, Invicta frontman Ade Yusuff converting a penalty to cancel out Ellis Brown’s opener.

He broke the deadlock after the restart before recently-signed forward Gil Carvalho rounded off their victory.

That leaves the Rams level on points with leaders Chatham who were held to a 2-2 draw by Three Bridges.

Goals from Daniel Thompson and Matt Bodkin gave them a 2-0 half-time lead, only for a Curtis Gayler brace to earn the visitors a point at the Bauvill Stadium.

George Nikaj finished his loan stint at Ashford in style, netting both goals in their 2-0 triumph at Haywards Heath.

Sheppey’s unbeaten run extended to seven matches with nothing to separate them from Swale rivals Faversham.

Former Maidstone defender Joe Ellul struck on his Sittingbourne debut in their 1-1 draw with Sevenoaks.

Ellul broke the deadlock at Woodstock after the restart before Kieran Cadogan earned the visitors a share of the spoils in the 86th minute.

Hythe lost 2-0 at Lancing while VCD drew 2-2 at home to Burgess Hill.

Soul Kader put the hosts ahead before George Snelling added a second before the hour mark, only for two goals in a four-minute period to earn the Hillians a point.

Second-bottom Corinthian lost 1-0 at East Grinstead.

Charles Greenwood’s fifth-minute effort proved the difference, leaving Corinthian just four points ahead of bottom side Faversham.
