A height vehicle also attended, and crews used chimney gear to extinguish the fire at the main Mansion Hotel.

There were no reported injuries, and the cause is not yet known. The blaze had been put out by 8.30pm.

Port Lympne, which is Kent’s biggest wildlife park, consists of a 600-acre reserve that is home to more than 900 animals.

There is also a range of accommodations available.

Port Lympne has rapidly gained a reputation as a celebrity hotspot, with actress and former I’m A Celebrity runner-up Emily Atack sharing photos from her family trip to the site this week.

Actor Ashley Walters, TV stars Alison Hammond, Kelly Brook, and Megan McKenna, and retired footballer Rio Ferdinand all enjoyed a stay at the Hythe resort last year.

Other famous faces have also shared their experiences, including The Only Way is Essex star Gemma Collins, who says she fell in love with the park after her trip there and Radio 1 presenter Greg James, who spent his honeymoon at the park in 2018.
