Audi and Vauxhall crash in Hythe

A man has been arrested following a series of crashes which saw a number of cars damaged and a woman injured.

Police and ambulance services were called to a road in Hythe last night after a white Audi collided with four parked cars.

The most dramatic of the incidents finally saw the car end up underneath a black Vauxhall in St Leonard's Road.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 9.10pm yesterday regarding a collision involving a car and four parked vehicles in St Leonard's Road, Hythe.

"Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman was treated for injuries.

"Kent Fire and Rescue Service also attended to assist with the recovery of two of the vehicles.

"A 33-year-old man from Hayes, Greater London, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs.

"He was later released pending further investigation."
