Arrests after 'disturbance' closes Hythe High Street

A man has been taken to hospital following a 'disturbance' that closed the High Street in Hythe yesterday.

The road was closed by police at around 6.50pm for a short time so that officers could carry out inquiries.

The victim, in his late teens, was found with injuries and taken to hospital for treatment.

The nature of his injuries is still under investigation.

Two men, aged 24 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Police say the alleged assailants are believed to be known to the victim and remain in custody while enquiries continue.
