Every worker at the high street premises will now be tested for the virus.

A statement released by the pub this afternoon reads: "We regret to announce we will be closed for the next two weeks, as unfortunately a member of our team has tested positive for Covid-19.

"The safety of our customers and our staff is our top priority, so while we are closed the entire team will be tested, and the pub thoroughly cleaned.

"The relevant authorities regarding track and trace are aware of the situation and we are currently contacting those of you who had reservations during this time.

"We will review the situation in two weeks' time and will reopen only when we are absolutely sure it is safe to do so."
