Kent Reliance in Maidstone marks first anniversary

Staff at a bank in the county are marking its first anniversary.

The Maidstone branch of Kent Reliance says it has opened almost 1,500 new accounts for customers since it opened last year.

Jared Ellis, branch manager, said: “Now that the dust has completely settled in our new home, I can honestly say the expectations of our customers and our employees have been exceeded and we‘ve really enjoyed seeing the delight on our customer’s faces when they enter the branch for the first time."

Kent Reliance, is part of OneSavings Bank plc.

The relocation and enhancement of the Maidstone branch last year was followed by the Canterbury branch opening in October - both of which form part of a wider programme of investment into the branch network, at a time when over 3,000 high street bank and building society branches have shut since 2014.
