Dartford MP Gareth Johnson officially opens extension to Kentec Electronics on Questor industrial estate

A factory extension has been officially opened by Dartford MP Gareth Johnson.

The politician cut the ribbon at the expanded Kentec Electronics on the Questor industrial estate in the town.

The firm manufacturers fire control systems. The extension to its site will allow it to expand its manufacturing, dispatch and stores capability by a third.

It will also enhance is 'specials' department for niche and complex projects.

Kentec managing director Kevin Swann said: "We are very proud of our accomplishments and excited to showcase the new factory extension. It was an excellent day that has given the whole team encouragement and confirmation that efforts have been very much worthwhile.”

The official opening followed a virtual launch that took place in July 2020.
