The business, based in Watling Street, Canterbury, has been acquired by Kreston Reeves Financial Planning - which, itself, was acquired last year by the London-based Craven Street Wealth group.

Craven Street Wealth was created by the London based corporate finance firm, Craven Street Capital Ltd, following the simultaneous acquisitions of Kreston Reeves Financial Planning and Christchurch Investment Management in March 2021.

For 20 years, Kreston Reeves Financial Planning had been part of the Canterbury, Chatham and Sandwich based business advisors and accountancy firm Kreston Reeves.

The acquisition means the newly enlarged Craven Street Weatlh group will now boast £1.15bn of assets under advice with a team of 18 financial planners.

All staff will remain within the business and continue to be based out of their Canterbury office.

Over time, Tarvos Wealth will merge into the wider Craven Street Wealth group.

Tom Barnett, managing director of Craven Street Wealth and Kreston Reeves Financial Planning - who replaced long-time MD David Hurst last month, said: “We are delighted to have completed this acquisition at an important stage of our plans for development after detailed discussions over an extensive period of time.

"I would like to thank the Tarvos shareholders for recognising the value in combining the businesses."

Simon Ludden of Tarvos added: “In my view the firms are a perfect fit, with our experience working with the legal profession and theirs with accountants. We are very excited about the possibilities that this brings for our staff and our clients and though I shall be looking forward to my retirement, part of me wishes that I could stay on to watch the company grow.”
