It has been created by Henry Iwunze, who served 15 years with the NHS, starting as a mental health care nurse before becoming associate director of operations for the East London NHS Foundation Trust.

Prior to his NHS career, he worked as a support worker for over three years, helping older adults in both residential and domiciliary care settings.

He explains: “Whilst I loved my role in the NHS and playing a role in the amazing work they do, in my managerial role I found myself becoming detached from hands-on caring which I really loved. Our mission is to become Medway and Gravesham’s most admired care company through enhancing the lives of people by supporting them to live comfortably and confidently in their own homes, so I knew this was something I wanted to focus on in my new business."

Mr Iwunze is joined in his new venture by registered care manager Amanda Ansell. She has over 30 years’ experience in the care sector, and is passionate about providing high quality care and training. She also dedicates her spare time volunteering for Heart of Kent Hospice.

The duo are now looking to recruit 50 people to join the team as caregivers.
