Full-fibre internet provider Trooli moves into bigger HQ at Kings Hill as staff set to spiral to 320 by end of 2022

Internet firm Trooli has cut the ribbon on its new headquarters in Kings Hill.

The firm, which aims to roll-out full-fibre internet to areas not served by the big networks, has seen major growth in recent years and now employs more than 230 staff.

It now says it aims to be the UK's largest rural full-fibre provider by the end of the year. It is currently serving more than 220,000 premises, having expanded from Kent into Buckinghamshire, Suffolk and Hampshire, among other counties.

Its new HQ in West Malling is three times its previous base, with staff likely to rise to 320 by the end of 2022.

Andy Conibere, chief executive officer of Trooli, said: “Our new head office is a key and important step in our ability to build on our current success and to accelerate our roll-out plans even further and faster.

“While the availability of full fibre broadband is growing in the UK, too many communities in rural areas still remain overlooked, and that is a gap we are committed to filling.”

Trooli’s new 11,300 sq ft offices were formally opened by constituency MP Tom Tugendhat alongside Matt Boughton, the leader of local Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council.

In 2021, the privately-owned company secured a £67.5m investment from a consortium of commercial lenders. Trooli previously received €30m in backing from the Connecting Europe Broadband Fund (CEBF) and £5m from NatWest.
