One of the county's top hotels has won a major prize as a wedding venue.
The Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells has been named Country Wedding Venue of the Year, for west Kent, in the Lux Global Excellence Awards 2019, for the second year in a row.
It brings its tally of top industry awards to six in two years.
It’s the fourth title awarded by international lifestyle magazine Lux to the boutique hotel on Crescent Road. The Grade-II listed venue was also named Best Luxury Hotel, in west Kent, in 2018 and 2017.
The hotel's general manager James McComas said: "To win the title for the second year running in awards organised by such a prestigious and influential magazine is truly the icing on the cake in what’s been a great year for us.
“This award recognises the dedication and commitment of our staff to offering all our guests and diners unforgettable experiences.
“But it’s also a reflection of the skills of the Kentish, artisanal suppliers with whom we partner to create locally sourced and unique fine-dining experiences.
"From the brilliant Chapel Down Vineyard in Tenterden to the craftsmanship of Winterdale cheddar from Sevenoaks and Wooden Spoon honey from Wye, local suppliers bring something uniquely delicious to our table.”
