Soon-to-open business hub the Maidstone Innovation Centre (MIC) has become part of the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) network.

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, it will offer flexible working space, meeting rooms and conference facilities.

Maidstone Borough Council leader, Cllr David Burton, said: “Being part of UKSPA will allow us to not only share MIC’s and our tenants’ knowledge and experiences, but also to learn from some of the best in the sector across the country.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming an interesting mix of tenants, leading the way in their fields."

Kent Medical Campus’s letting agent, Bill MacLeod from Torrin Asset Management, added: "The Innovation Centre is the next step in establishing a robust medical and life science presence in Maidstone. With the help of UKSPA, we hope to widen the exposure and attract more occupiers."
