Lok’nStore self storage to open warehouse in Gillingham Business Park

A self-storage business is to open a new warehouse by the end of next year.

Lok’nStore has bought a one-acre site in Gillingham Business Park and will submit a planning application to transform the plot soon.

It is part of a £10 million investment which has also seen the company acquire a site in Northamptonshire.

The firm operates 28 self-storage centres, including sites in Ashford and Tonbridge.

Chief executive Andrew Jacobs said: “These two excellent new locations show clear progress in delivering our strategy of developing landmark stores.

“Trading at our recently opened stores has been encouraging and our strong balance sheet and flexible new banking facility give us the confidence that Lok’nStore can continue to deliver growing dividends for its investors from an increasing number of stores.”
