Formed in 2014, the GP federation offers the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare covering eight sites in the Medway Towns, Swale and West Kent region, managing over 40,000 patients and support contracts.

A variety of roles, with flexible working, are now available, with MPA currently recruiting:

  • GPs across all eight sites
  • Lead GPs to head up each practice
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioners with the skill sets to deliver primary care services
  • Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants to work regular sessions across the eight practice sites within chronic disease management, specialist clinics and vaccination programmes
  • Practice Administrators to work across the eight sites
  • Pharmacists and Paramedics to support the clinical teams across all sites and services

Being an MPA employee comes with its benefits, including highly competitive rates of pay and working conditions, according to experience and skills.

Currently, MPA manages seven contracts across Medway and Swale:

  • Improved GP access across seven sites, offering GP appointments on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
  • A Home Visiting Service for all Medway practices to assist GPs to manage the home visit demand. This service is operated using experienced, highly-qualified paramedics.
  • Additional clinical services to eight local nursing/care homes to help manage their demands, patient care and safety.
  • NHS primary care contracts to provide care for over 42,000 patients across Medway and Swale in eight different GP surgeries, which is a fast-growing aspect of the
  • business.
  • Assisting other service providers in Medway to deliver COVID and flu vaccination programmes using the paramedic workforce.
  • Working with the local community provider to help develop the new Health Hub concept to provide face-to-face additional appointments.
  • MPA is part of the team who are investigating the Virtual Ward concepts, designed to keep patients out of hospital and cared for at home by an experienced clinical team

Keen to find out more? The federation is holding three open days at various practice sites to allow potential staff to meet the teams, understand how the business operates and discuss the various work opportunities.

The first will take place on Tuesday 5th July between 2pm and 6pm at Sunlight Surgery. Prospective applicants can also attend Aylesford Medical Centre on Thursday 14th July between 2pm and 5pm, and Castle Medical Practice on Wednesday 20th July between 9.30am and 1pm.
