Security firm picks up gold award

AN AWARD-WINNING Medway firm has struck gold again.

NT Security, installers of CCTV, access control and electronic hotel card locks, has just been awarded a National Security Inspectorate (NSI) gold medal for its high levels of service.

The award is only made to companies that have achieved so-called NACOSS Gold approval, the premier scheme for companies involved in installaing and maintaining these security systems.

The firm, based on Medway City Estate, employs 26 people. It has been installing security equipment since 1996 and is a former winner of the Medway Small Business Awards, and a runner-up in the Kent Business Awards.

NSI chief executive Tom Mullarkey presented the medal, made by the Royal Mint, to managing director Chris Underwood at a special ceremony in the Holiday Inn, Basildon.

Mr Underwood said: "We are committed to providing both new and existing customers the best service and in recognition of this, we are proud to have received the NACOSS Gold medal."

The NSI is an independent, not-for-profit organisation regarded as the UK's leading inspectorate for the security and fire industries.

NSI approved companies comply with British and European standards and meet the requirements of the police and insurers. The are inspected twice a year.
