Previously known as Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, the institution was awarded university title in 2018. Alumni include music legend David Bowie, fashion designer Claire Waight-Keller, 2012 Olympic torch designer Jay Osgerby and Oscar-winning producers Simon Egan and Gareth Ellis-Unwin.

There's more than 35 trains a day from Strood to Greenwich, taking on average 60 minutes. From Gravesend the journey comes down to 45 minutes and from Dartford it's only around half an hour on the train.
