Home Kent Wedding Day Brides Article
The bride’s hair can make or mar her entire outfit and as she will be the centre of attention, it is essential it looks its best for this reason alone.
However, as the bridal outfit usually involves a complex headdress with or without a veil, which she will have to remove when the time comes for ‘going away’, the style and condition of the hair must be such that she can easily manage it without constant recourse to a mirror or her stylist.
Preparation is the order of the day and as soon as a date has been set for the wedding, the prospective bride must consult her hair stylist so that it can be prepared for the great day itself.
This could involve a series of tonic treatments to get the hair into tip-top condition.
Attention to diet and regular sleep will also contribute to bringing the hair into strong, glossy condition.
During this period a style will have to be evolved, one that she will be able to manage herself and that will go with her planned headdress.
The style chosen must be manageable but just as important, it must be familiar by the time the great day arrives.
The week before a wedding is no time for experimenting with a new style, colour or cut
It is usual for a bride-to-be to take her headdress to the hairdresser so a style may be planned around it and so she can practise putting it on and taking it off.
Many hairdressers will agree to attend a bride in her own home on the morning of the wedding to dress her hair and put the headdress on.
If you are thinking of getting married and wish to look your best, make sure attention to your hair is one of your many priorities.
If you don’t already visit a hairdresser regularly now could be the time to begin.
