Carrying the official Platinum Jubilee emblem, which was designed by 19-year-old graphic design student Edward Roberts, from Nottinghamshire, the commemorative products are being sold online via the Royal household's website and in Royal Collection Trust shops which can be found at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The new range, which also includes a water bottle, socks, keyrings, bags, biscuits, an umbrella, a bookmark and stationary sets, ranges in price from just over £3 for the hand sanitiser to £15 and £25 for the bone china mugs.

The release is among a number of commemorative items and souvenirs that are being produced ahead of this June's celebrations and the four-day Platinum Jubilee weekend.

Others include the Platinum Jubilee English Sparkling Wine, which was launched in February ,and a range of commemorative china released late last year - albeit much of that remains currently sold out online after being so popular with royal fans and collectors.

The design on the latest products is a continuous line drawing, symbolising Her Majesty’s long reign, while the shade of purple reflects that of Her Majesty’s Robe of Estate, worn at the Coronation in 1953.

The font used for the lettering is ‘Perpetua’, which means ‘forever’ and imitates the font style that appeared on Her Majesty’s Coronation Order of Service in 1953.

Reflecting on his new design that has now made it onto the latest range of memorabilia, Edward Roberts said: ‘With the new design, I wanted to create a set of products that stayed true to and worked well alongside the emblem design. Like my original submission, the flowers are part of a continuous line, capturing the delicate nature of these national symbols.

"I wanted to create a design that was contemporary, and in keeping with these modern times.

"Having these products in Royal Collection Trust shops and well received by the public is lovely to see."

All profits from sales of official Platinum Jubilee commemorative items go to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity, for the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and for the work connected to exhibitions, publications, loans and educational programmes.
